Falling Leaves of Autumn
by Michael Lohr
Through our hands slip the sands of time,
as the storms of chaos rage on in our heart,
the nemeton exposed,
rain reveals relics
once buried in the muddy path that is our soul
these remnants of love and lust,
these scars of past lives.
Within the stirring echo of the seasons,
we search tirelessly for our soulmate,
this illusive creature,
our anamchara
told of in fable for generations,
humanity pretends to know love
but the lines upon the old man's face reveal the truth.
